Mid Field Sluice. (Looking North). 10.8.12. Area 4.
This man made canal was constructed over 4 years ago as a precaution for site flooding.
It runs along the East side of the midfield wasteground and drains into the lower marsh.
Floodwater reaches the height of the balistrades.
The banks were seeded with wildflowers and young alder, and is where I find many butterflies.
