Industrial Heritage (Looking West). 11.4.12.
This is one of several cast iron 'pulley posts' that run along the public footpath, running East-West dividing the site. Main pond & reedbeds are to the right.
As someone has explained to me, coal trucks used to run from Cwmaman (in the distance) to the canal behind (later railway)
for loading and transport. These posts would hold the cables.
