A Straw Too Long
Once a year, or even twice if they happen to be in a biennial year, the Noobs go out onto the Mercury Sea beds (yes, that is NOT water)
and get out their 400 mile long telescopic straws and burrow down into the centre of the planet to have a good look at the core
to see how things are getting on with the hamsters that are spinning the cogs and sprockets that make the planet turn on a penny.
Sometimes a hamster escapes up one of these straws, plunging deep into the mouth of an unwary onlooker (or geoinfrastronomer),
and of whom is said to have been hampstered, and is awarded the prize of 'Participation In Rodentisuicide Awarness Week',
before the hamster is hoovered out of him for want of his neglected duties.
